Soup Sunday to help Youth Villages

Youth Villages hosts its 22nd Annual Soup Sunday on Feb. 27 at 11a.m. from 2 p.m. at FedEx Forum. During the event you can sample a variety of soups, breads and desserts, from the best Mid-South restaurants and caterers.

The proceeds from the Soup Sunday event will go to the Youth Villages Mentoring Program. Click here to read more about the event, view a list of participating restaurants and caterers, and purchase tickets.

Camped in the snow for Chick-fil-A

Snow and freezing temperatures did not stop festivities for the opening of the new Chick-fil-A in Millington.

The first 100 customers earn free Chick-fil-A for a year, and by 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, 75 people were already camped out in the parking lot.

With snow still falling, that is where they will stay until the doors of the new restaurant open at 6 a.m. Thursday.

New Chick-fil-A opening

A new Chick-fil-A is opening in Millington next week.

While the store at 8492 Hwy 51 North will open at 6 a.m., the grand opening ceremony will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10.

And there is one very good reason to rave the cold and make your way to the restaurant early, the first 100 people in line will get a tasty, and valuable, treat

Millington welcomes Chick-fil-A

The Chick-fil-A® restaurant chain and its renegade Cows will be opening Millington’s first stand-alone restaurant on Feb. 10 when the first 100 adults in line that morning will be awarded a free year’s supply of Chick-fil-A.

Started seven years ago as an idea for an Arizona restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A’s First 100 Celebration has become the signature event of each grand opening around the country. The chain’s loyal customers often arrive 24 hours in advance of the opening -- no matter the location or weather conditions.

Groundhog Day could mean free eats at Chick-fil-A

It could be a double dose of good news Groundhog Day morning, if the groundhog predicts an early spring.

If the groundhog doesn't see his shadow, customers won't have to pay for a spicy chicken biscuit at Memphis and North Mississippi area Chick-fil-A restaurants.

The giveaway will be Wednesday, Feb. 2.

A portion of all sales from the Groundhog Day giveaway will be donated to MIFA.
